Hey folks, yours truly with a quick post for those frustrated about getting and keeping the pounds off! I have come across so many people who get disappointed about not seeing any noticeable changes in their outward appearance and resort to starving themselves, thinking they will win the "office contest" or something!
Here is the bottom line, and it's really simple so you can get back to doing what you do! If you want to loose the weight, you must eat more - of the right stuff that is!
When it comes to keeping the weight off, you must keep your metabolism motor running. Meaning eating smaller meals every two to three hours will go much further than eating larger meals once or twice a day or worse yet, starving yourself! Here is the reason why.
If you are not eating enough, your body will store everything it gets into the drawers of fat because it is not sure when you are going to feed it again. This is not healthy and besides, everyone gets hungry so instead of depriving the body, adopt a habit of eating healthy choices like foods that are loaded with fiber or 100% whole grain!
There are many choices you can make regarding your health and fitness. I am of the opinion that if you can keep things as simple as possible, you have a better chance of seeing the results you want. Furthermore you don't have to buy expensive products that promise a bunch of things that the body can actually do on it's own anyway! There is a better way folks and the quicker we all get back to the basics, the better off we and our children will be.
We still have the issue of childhood obesity to talk about too. When I was growing up, we had to play outside! Our version of video games consisted of using our imagination and building up a sweat and we had to stay outside until the sun started coming down. We were serious about being outside and we looked forward to playing with the neighbors and coming up with the next adventure. Those were the good old days. Now when I mention it to some, they look at me like I am crazy. But I digress, that is a whole other story.
Here is the bottom line. We can reverse the trend of obesity in this country by making the choice to do something about it! For example did you know that by walking at least 20 minutes a day can lower blood pressure? Yes a simple activity like that can work wonders for your body and everyone can do it! The great news about that is you don't need any fancy equipment either!
